Young Russian rider Petr Ignatenko became 4th at the hardest queen’s stage of Tour of Austria.
Young Petr Ignatenko from Katusha Team showed again his perfect abilities of a climber today at 4th stage of Tour of Austria – the queen’s stage from Lienz to Alpendorf with the famous mountain Globglockner: he finished 4th.
Jacob Fuglsand from Radioshak won the stage and became the overall leader after his decisive attack on the climb. Leonid Konig from NetApp finished second with +1.14. Petr Ignatenko pushed hard for third place at the stage, but lost just 12 seconds to Robert Vrecer from Team Voralberg, who finished with +2.35 behind the winner.
After 4 stages Petr Ignatenko is 6th in general classification. He is in 1 minute and 43 seconds behind of the overall leader.
