Russian Katusha Team has finished its first 2013 season training camp in Austria.
Last week, in Bad Kleinkirchheim,Austria, Katusha Team has spent its first training camp for the new season of 2013. All riders and staff, which will represent Katusha in the following season came toAustriafor a general meeting of the team.
During the camp, the new general manager of Katusha Viatcheslav Ekimov was presented at the press conference. Ekimov explained the main lines of the following development of the team as well as general aims of the season of 2013.
Besides, Katusha Team announced 4 new riders: Anton Vorobyev, Viacheslav Kuznetsov, Sergei Chernetckii (all – Itera-Katusha continental team) and Dmitriy Kozontchyk.
Also, within the team’s meeting in Austria, all riders passed a number of physiological and biometric tests under supervision of team’s scientific coach Sebastian Weber, and, in addition, in common with sports directors of the team began work on formation of own sports calendars and definition of the purposes for future season.
In final day of the camp in mountains of the southern Austria all riders and the staff of Katusha Team took part in so-called «Team a building» where having shown command spirit and character, managed to achieve all objectives, but also, have well a rest after a long, intense and successful season of 2012.
The following training camp Katusha will pass in December of the current year and will be directed on a laying of powerful physical training base before the first part of 2013 cycling season.
