Katusha Team presents its new riders

World Tour Katusha Team officially announced 4 new Russian riders for the season of 2013.

During the training camp inAustria, Russian World Tour Katusha Team officially presented 4 new riders, who joined the team for the season of 2013.

All four riders are Russians: Anton Vorobyev (22 years old), Viacheslav Kuznetsov (23 years old), Sergei Chernetckii (22 years old) and Dmitriy Kozontchuk (28 years old).

Anton Vorobyev (came from Russian Global Cycling Project’s team Itera-Katusha) – is Under 23 ITT World Champion, double U23 Russian National Champion this year.

Viacheslav Kuznetsov (Itera-Katusha) – gained 3 victories in 2012 (La Roue Touragelle, a stage at Ronde de l’Oise and a stage at Tour of Bulgaria) as well as 10 more podium places.

Sergei Chernetckii (Itera-Katusha) – scored 2 victories (a stage at Ronde de l’Isard and a stage at Giro Valle d’Aosta) and 8 podium places in the season of 2012.

Dmitriy Kozontchuk (came from RusVelo) – is a strong domestique and stage race specialist, best result in 2012 – 12th place in general classification of Tour of Belgium.

During the camp in Austria Russian classics rider Alexander Kolobnev renewed his contract with Katusha Team for two more years.

The full roster of the team will be announced at the official presentation of Katusha Team 2013.
