Dmitry Konyshev switched from professional cycling to the driver seat in the car of sports director immediately after retiring from his magnificent racing career in 2006. From 1989 to 2006, Dmitry won 38 pro races, among which were stages of Giro d’Italia, Tour de France and Vuelta a Espana, as well as multiple titles as Russian National Champion.

From 1989 to 2006, Dmitry won 38 pro races, among which were stages of Giro d’Italia, Tour de France and Vuelta a Espana, as well as multiple titles as Russian National Champion.
Working with the best Russian riders since the found ing of Katusha Team, Dmitry has been able to fully reveal his talent as a sports director. Besides his position on Katusha Team, Dmitry Konyshev has been the coach of the Russian National Team since 2009.
In 2014 at Katusha Team, Dmitry Konyshev will be involved in the preparation of Russian riders for the successful performances in the UCI WorldTour races as well as in the UCI Road World Championships in Spain.
