What a fantastic season Joaquim Rodriguez had with Katusha Team in 2012. Currently ranked World #1 rider, in his three seasons with Katusha Team, Purito Rodriguez has achieved so much: he won stages of all three Grand Tours, won La Flèche Wallonne and Il Lombardia, twice took number 1 of the UCI World Tour ranking, worn the leader’s jersey of Giro and Vuelta and was on the podium of both races. The beloved Catalan rider, known worldwide as “Purito”, is only missing just a few goals: a Grand Tour victory, a win at the legendary Liège–Bastogne–Liège and the rainbow jersey of World Champion. Don’t be surprised to see Rodriguez achieve those goals in 2013.
